18 carat rose gold, diamonds, black jade
UNKNOWN PLEASURES NECKLACE
A refined and subtle statement of subversive luxury from the collection Somebody’s Sins. This necklace sits at the throat, a black jade bolt held by rose gold and diamonds, floating on a delicately thin chain.
With a gentle nod to the themes of freedom and restraint within the collection, this necklace has a quiet power to imbue to its wearer.
Edition of 80

This pendant is a quiet reflection on the grand themes of the whole collection, a subtle nod to the dark and decadent world of MrS, my all-powerful muse for this collection
MrS is the puppet-master – a nameless, pulsing, driving power, the conjurer of a congregation that is searching for something, searching for unknown pleasures in unknown places. This necklace is a small token of his world, perhaps a symbol of membership, or even of ownership.
I wanted this to be a piece of contrasts. The femininity of the diamond-encrusted rose gold is in stark contrast to the masculine black jade shaft that pierces through it. The sculpted curved forms juxtapose the almost industrial feeling of the ridged metal.
Hanging just below the throat, the physical balance of the pendant itself for me reflects the fine balance that exists between possession and total self-expression.
