18 carat gold, diamonds, sapphires
Seductively curved lines of diamonds are pinned at either end by sapphire cabochons in this compelling pair of earrings. A sense of taut energy is captured, giving this design a deep sense of vitality.
A play on negative space, and the contrast of masculine and feminine lines, these earrings are a true Hannah Martin classic.
On their reverse a sculptural knife edge detail runs along the metal adding to the structural sense of strength. By flipping the post, the earrings can also be worn this way round, where a flash of diamonds will only be caught from behind.
Please note that all Hannah Martin earrings can also be ordered singly.

I wanted the form of these earrings to have a certain taut energy to them. I wanted the gold to feel as if it were only the sapphire cabochons holding the two sides together, just managing to prevent it from bursting apart. MrS, my dark, mythical muse, is a man of immense power, felt just beneath the surface. Molinier, the primary inspiration of my muse, was the indisputable ruler of his own sophisticated yet barbaric kingdom. I wanted these earrings to reflect an element of that power and seduction.
The flowing curves of the form belie the tension of the piece, adding an important sensuality to the earrings. These diamond curves capture an empty space – the two sides of the earrings spread outwards, revealing and exposing.
