18ct Rose Gold, Black Rhodium
SHAMAN’S TRIANGLE SIMPLE PENDANT ROSE
This 18 carat rose gold pendant is a visually stunning piece, with subtle complexities of form, taken from Series I of the collection The Man Who Knows Everything.
Inspired by the legend of the infamous Comte St Germain, Hannah turned to masonic symbolry and the mysteries of alchemy to draw from in these designs.
The hand carved triangular pendant toys with perspective and geometry, as if this symbol of power itself had been skewed by the power of The Man Who. The necklace runs along a fine blackened chain and is held closed by a bespoke triangle clasp.

‘The Shaman’s Triangle’ is the first series of pieces from the collection ‘The Man Who Knows Everything’. It is a tale of an alchemist; A futurist shaman transcending centuries and cultures – a man beyond limits and beyond time.
The story began for me many years ago when I first read about the infamous Comte de St Germain. His name pops up in the history books across a span of hundreds of years. He appears in works by writers such as Pushkin and Voltaire. Legend has it he was an intimate of Madame Pompadour, as well as him making appearances in stories of the Russian Tsars. His name is inexorably linked with alchemy and magick. His death was reported countless times, but having allegedly discovered the elixir of life he always reappeared in another place, in a another time, leading Voltaire to describe him as ‘the man who knows everything and never dies’. I was immediately transfixed.
My research began deeply immersed in Masonic insignia and legend, a subject that has an ongoing fascination for me. The intrigue and veiled history, as well as the visual aspect, is something that I never tire of. I was also reading the writings of Aleister Crowley, watching films by Kenneth Anger and researching past alchemists such as John Dee. Within this mix was also the work of the Russian constructivists, Tatlin and Malevich.
The one shape that recurred continuously in this research was the triangle. It is a shape with significant power. Not only is it the strongest physical shape you can create within architecture (or any structure) it also has a potent symbolism. I decided to take this shape and work with it – skewing its perfect lines as if the power of The Man Who has taken control. I wanted to create a pendant that was also a piece of sculpture, a pendant that reflected some of the intensity and alchemistic promise of my muse.
This pendant acts as something of a talisman for me, the chain feeding into and through the triangle in one continuous, sensual line - a nod to the esoteric power of The Man Who Knows Everything.
