18ct White Gold
RUSSIAN FACET RING WHITE
This ring is taken from the collection Vincent. Drawing inspiration from Soviet modernist architecture, the palaces of the last Tsars of Russia and the ancient tradition of Russian tri-colour wedding rings, this white gold ring can be worn alone or stacked with its yellow and rose gold counterparts.
A subtle yet elegant piece, sculptural in form yet delicate in detail.

‘Vincent’ as a collection is a story about a darkly suave, dangerously sophisticated Russian gangster – ruling London’s underworld with his enigmatic, fiery power. Vincent is an oligarch of the underground, the indisputable ruler of his dark kingdom.
The inspirations for this collection, and the narrative, spanned across monumental Soviet Modernist architecture, Russian communist propaganda graphics and the story of the Romanov’s – the last Tsar’s of Russia. I was also referencing post-modern Russian artists, Malevich particularly, amongst others. David Cronenburg films (in particular ‘Eastern Promises’ and ‘A History of Violence’) and the work of the incredible film-maker Tarkovsky also had an important input.
This ring began as my take on the traditional ‘Russian wedding ring’ – a set of three interlocking rings in 3 colours of gold. I wanted to create my own modern interpretation of this, in keeping with the narrative of ‘Vincent’.
The ‘facet’ is a recurring theme throughout the collection, inspired by the references above - brutalist lines, combined with architectural, sculptural forms.
By separating out the three rings from the traditional style, you have the choice of wearing one, two or three – stacking them as you choose. I moved away completely from the traditional circular shape – this faceted square is designed to capture the light on its angles and to conjure reminders of the power and potency that lies behind this collection.
