18 carat gold, cognac diamonds
Unabashed yet elegant, the Possession Ring is an exercise in subversive luxury. Sculptural in its form, with an underlying sense of powerful tension, two lines of rich cognac diamonds run up and down the finger, seemingly held in place with a shaft of rose gold.
The rich colour palette of yellow and rose gold, enhanced by the warmth of the diamonds, works in harmonious contrast with the unapologetic strength of the design itself. Exposing the flesh of the finger adds a frisson of sensuality to this modern classic.

MrS, my all-powerful and darkly enigmatic muse is a man of extremes. His nameless, pulsing power is an irresistible force. He exists in a place with no boundaries. I wanted the pieces themselves to be monumental and unapologetic, reflecting this mastermind in the darkness.
Whilst strong and unabashed, this ring also has an underlying sense of vulnerability. The soft flesh of the finger is exposed beneath the hard, sharp shaft of rose gold that clamps the two sides of the ring together. There is a sense of ambiguity as to whether this ring is about protection or restraint.
I chose the rich, warm colours to enhance the sense of flesh revealed, and to juxtapose the brutality of the form. I am always intrigued by the combination of hard, graphic lines with curvaceous and sculptural form. The signature knife-edge detail that runs all the way along the edges of the ring is designed to enhance this even further.
